In honor of the Month of The Military Child, TODAY Tuesday, April 15th, is National Purple Up Day! We encourage our students to wear purple to show support and solidarity for all those students who are military children, not just here at Foxboro, but in our district and worldwide!

On Friday, March 21, Davis School District will join the global celebration of World Down Syndrome Day by encouraging everyone to Rock Your Socks. This event is a fun way to raise awareness and show support for individuals with Down syndrome. Why Mismatched Socks? World Down Syndrome Day is observed on 3/21, symbolizing the three copies of the 21st chromosome in individuals with Down syndrome. Socks were chosen because under a microscope, chromosomes look like mismatched socks. World Down Syndrome Day is on 21 March every year. It is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The goal is to help people understand and support those with Down syndrome better. The date being the 21st day of the 3rd month was chosen to represent the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. This production was directed by Spotlight Theatre. There are two casts: Swamp Cast: Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 7:30 PM. Storybook Cast: Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 5:00 PM. Martial Arts @ Foxboro Elementary from Championship Martial Arts will begin again on Tuesday and Thursday March 11, 13, 18, 20 3:30-4:00. Cost is $25* All proceeds are donated to Foxboro Elementary.
