During the month of December, members of the Student Council here at Foxboro created nearly 30 blankets to be donated to children at Primary Children's Hospital. The service project that was spearheaded by our Student Council Members and Advisors. Many students donated their time before and after school, and even during recess to complete it.
Several students expressed being grateful for the opportunity to serve others in need.
"I'm very happy that we got to make these blankets for kids in the hospital, and I hope they enjoy them," Morgan said about the experience.
"The reason I donated my recess time is because I wanted to help people," said Bo, another member of the Student Council.
Mr. Lingen, one of the student council advisors said that he has participated in similar service opportunities like this with other students over the years. "Watching the students at Foxboro share their time and talents with those in need was a special experience." He also said that the blankets will be delivered to the hospital soon, adding that judging by all the love that was put into making the blankets, he has no doubt that love will be felt by the children who receive them.
Thank you, Student Council, for your example of selfless service. Foxboro Falcons Rock!
