Picture of Cast During the performance of BOTS

For the past several months, many of Foxboro's fourth, fifth and sixth graders have been "Gearing up" for the chance to showcase their singing, dancing and acting skills in the new musical production "BOTS!," and on November 21, they did just that.

"BOTS!" is a brand new musical that was compiled by Beat by Beat Press, and it featured ensembles complete with robots and their builders. This highly entertaining play took the audience through an exciting robotics competition that wouldn't be complete without one key ingredient: Teamwork.

It took a whole lot of teamwork to put this performance together, and nobody knows that more than Foxboro's BTS Drama teacher and BOTS! Director, Mr. Lingen, who said that he "loved seeing the students shine on stage and really own their performance."

Fourth grade student and member of the "Byting Bulldogs" team, Ryann said that one of her favorite parts of being on BOTS! was working with her the fourth grade teachers

Fourth grade teachers Mrs. Barber and Ms. Brassell also played large roles in bringing BOTS! to life through choreography.

"I loved creating the choreography and listening to the students sing," Mrs. Barber said.

"My favorite part about BOTS was the students singing and when it all starts to come together." Ms. Brassell added.

It certainly all came together with the first performance on November 21 at Woods Cross High School, followed by one at our very own Foxboro Elementary the following Friday in front of students and staff.

"It was so fun to watch the students perform in front of their peers, teachers, as well as family members," kindergarten teacher and parent of a cast member, Mrs. Ari said. "We have so many talented students, and I love that our school has this opportunity for students to showcase their talents like this."
